Bateau Paris

A very short film inspired by a walk Paris.
On exhibition in Norwich Art Gallery in Jan/Feb 2011.
The film explores the creative relationship between the camera still and animated cutouts. It examines the space of the still and the form of the cutout in relation to each other. It is a flat, deep, within, without, conceptual and corporeal experience. It reflects the use of contemporary public space as a form of visual art. It is a cultural view through a Parsian window. It explores the idea that vision is a construct of the mind and of the editor.
It is very romantic.
For such a fleeting viewing experience it engages many ways of looking at the relentless passage of time in close successtion.
